Flowers and plants have their moods and those moods match with the human heart. We understand them even if is at a subconscious level.

Plants, Trees, and other flowering plants are the messengers through which emotions, wishes, and thoughts are expressed. for centuries they have held traditional meaning, for instance, the association of the red rose, with true love comes form those traditional given meanings. whether the associations come from mythology, or from old folk stories, the names of plants bring memories and hopes to one’s mind.

The Victorians where who codified the language of plants and gave it an elegant communicating skill without spoken words. many grasses, herbs, leaves were assigned simple messages, and now a days people sent beautiful flower arrangements that represent carefully thought out sentiments. A gift of snow-drop blossoms, signify hope. A bouquet with a ribbon tied on the left side was significant to the sender, and if it was tied to the right, it represented the recipient.

Inverted flower bouquets, signified a terrible blow. Using the Victorian style, anyone can create new arrangements that carry different meanings and more ideas can come not only for the gardener but for those in search of baby names. Romantic flower names; Acacia the pink one represents elegance, and the yellow secret love. Amaryllis, it signifies pride, Apple is equal to preference, while Aster signifies variety.

Azalea means temperance, a Camellia red means loveliness, and a white one signifies excellence, Cedar means strength, Daisy means innocence, Dhalia instability, Elm means dignity, Fuchsia means taste. Hazel means reconciliation, Heather is solitude, Holly is foresight, and Iris means message. Ivy is friendship, Laurel is glory, Larkspur is levity, Magnolia means dignity, while Lotus is strange love. Olive means peace, Palm is victory, Quince means temptation, Reed is music, Rue means disdain, Willow means mourning.

As mention before, even if one finds any of these flower and plant names difficult to use for a baby’s name, a similar name can be created if imagination is used. if one likes the meaning of Camellia for example, but don’t like the spelling or the sound of the name, one can easily change it a little to something like Cammy, Camela, or Carmela and still keep it’s meaning.

Using Plant Names as Baby Names

Sent with Reeder

Save the World

Everyone come together and save the world. CowaBonsai

Save the World

The Tree Blog

“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” (2 Timothy 3:1) the word perilous means dangerous or exposure to the risk of being injured, destroyed, or lost. the rest of the verses express where most of the danger shall come from and also the reason for the promised peril that shall come. “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:2-5) in a society where morality is placed on the back burner anything goes. a philosophy such as do as you will or do what thou will this shall be the whole law was made famous by a known Satanist and founder of the church of satan Aleister Crowley. a world where everyone feels free to do as he or she pleases is a disastrous world where ruin is certain. in a world that does what it feels like there are no rules. what if I feel like murdering someone or raping someone under these philosophies it is perfectly ok? in fact to live by such rules is truly to declare yourself to be God because you are governed by you. yet, the bible expressly declares that in the last day’s mankind will go so far from God that they will bring peril upon themselves and this whole world. Jesus Christ speaking of the last days said “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matthew 24:11-12) a world without love, a world where people are selfish and self driven.

Was it not satan that invented the it’s all about me theology. “How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! for thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” (Isaiah 14:12-15) When satan was cast down to earth in the record of the fall of man did he not preach this same it’s all about me theology to Eve “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.”(Genesis 3:4-5) Not, much has changed satan is still trying to convince every man and woman that they could be there own god just as he tried to become his own god. even so much to impose the philosophy of I can do whatever I want God knows my heart. How many times has this been quoted by people to justify their own sin. When God says “no” how can we say God understands, his ways are his ways and we should do are best to keep them (through the power of the Holy Spirit). we should not simply go out of are way to do wrong or continue in our sins simply because it feels good to us. we should seek repentance just as the first words Christ preached “From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” (Matthew 4:17) a life in God shows the power of God and that power is for God to transform that life. it is always not easy for us to do right but we should do our best to do what God says. for surely if God knows our heart shouldn’t we know his heart and his will.

With the knowledge of this danger that is sure to come; the human heart has a unique need to be saved. After all we do all we can do to live so we eat, visit the doctors, we exercise, we drink water, we avoid poverty at all cost, we even seek pleasure to avoid boredom. There is something inside mankind that always drives us towards self preservation and man will almost always choose peace over suffering. the internal desire is another evidence of the need for the salvation of God. Hollywood has always created it’s heroes that would soon come and save the world from ruin. When the truth is that this world can’t be saved by man nor superheroes it actually will be destroyed according to 2 Peter 3:9-10 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” it is a promise of God that this world shall be destroyed but be of good cheer because although this world will die the people in it can be saved. “Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me. And he that seeth me seeth him that sent me. I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.”(John 12:44-47)

What I fear most is that mankind doesn’t take the claims of God to be serious or urgent. we should always see the urgency in what God is saying to us. There are a lot of dangerous and very disastrous events that are taking place right now and will take place in the future. we always look to the coming of Christ as being light years ahead of us, but as God said we should not be slack according to his promise that he will destroy this world. Of the last days the scriptures testify in Matthew 24:3-7 “And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, take heed that no man deceive you. for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. for nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” many have came to this earth and claimed to be Christ all the way back to before Jesus time on earth. Most recently we have seen Jim Jones, Charles Manson, Jose Luis De Miranda, Sun Myung Moon, Billy Meir and others. these men have led many into destruction, just as Christ has spoken. When we speak of wars and rumours of wars how many years in your own personal life can you look back to a time where there was not war going on in the earth? How many years can you remember when there was not a talk about a war? All throughout history we discover war after war and this is the work of mankind. we see nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom everyday. whole nations of people that hate other nations of people simply because of land disputes, color of skin, and customs. Famines in the land just in 2008 Myanmar, the Horn of Africa, Afghanistan, East Africa, and Bangladesh all suffer from food crisis while the rest of the nations over eat. Pestilence the world has many infectious diseases that cause death, most recently Aids, bird flu, flesh eating virus, malaria, cancer, and sars. Earthquakes have shaken many places of this world most recently China and Central Asia. this information lets us know that all things have been checked off and the reason Jesus gave these examples is to let you know that we really don’t know when he is coming. the world will be going on business as usual so we should always be ready for his return.

The beauty of the situation is God knows we have a basic need for salvation. we have a human desire for peace, and quality of life. we all want to live forever and not suffer forever. what we really are looking for is hope and not hope that a man can bring. Not the promise of man’s change or what man can fix, but hope that God will save us from this wretched world and the disaster of mankind’s errors. “In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;” (Titus1:2) That is a promise that I could believe in, because unlike mankind God cannot lie. He promised salvation and we should expect nothing less. He promised to give us this gift we should expect nothing less. I challenge you to put your hope in something you can’t see right now but will see in the future. the promise that God who cannot lie gave to us SALVATION!!!!!

“My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” -1 John 2:1-2

Save the World

Sent with Reeder

How Can we save our mother planet earth from getting destroyed day by day from the threat of global warming?

Truly amazing article and fun facts about saving Mother Earth. Indoor Bonsai Trees

How Can we save our mother planet earth from getting destroyed day by day from the threat of global warming?

The Tree Blog

how can we educate more and more people from around the world to bring their attention to this threat to our planet?can we stop living with luxuries which we harldy need them as necessary part for our survival?because there are so many luxuries which are being produced globally and threatning our planet life.

Global warming is not something caused by man but a natural event in the evolution of our planet. If you investigate the past as a reference to the future, you will see that temperature fluctuations on a global scale and over very long periods of time have always happened. Right now we are at the beginning of a natural change in global temperature and we have called it "global warming" and as with many things, we like to think it's caused by man. Why? Becuase if it's caused by man then it seems like we have some control over it and we could maybe effect a change of some kind and stop it. but the truth is, while we may have some miniscule contribution to the global warming, if we all ceased to exist on this planet, the natural warming and cooling cycles would just continue, with or without us, as they have always done.

I am a firm believer in global warming (along with 99% of scientists who are not paid by companies to say they are against it) because it is a documented fact.
It will never destroy the earth. the earth has warmed and cooled off and on for millenia, but man has sped up this process. the problem we face is that it is warming up faster than we could possibly move our cities inland to avoid flooding, move our agriculture further from the equator where the temps won't be as hot, etc.
If this were happening 20,000 years ago, people and animals would simply gradually move to more favorable climates. It's simply the existence of society, and the staggering overpopulation of humans on the earth, that make warming or cooling a serious issue.
As for educating people, that's already been done. the problem is, corporations, which control our government mainly through influencing Republicans, don't care about long term issues. They care about short term profits. Another issue is transportation. 100 years ago, you could live without ever getting in a car. You could work, live, and eat on your own land. Society has put demands on us that require traveling, and transportation is the number one source of the pollution that contributes to global warming.

Sorry but global warming ended about 3 years ago when the sun went into the deepest solar minimum ever documented. Currently real scientists are trying first what caused the sun to shut down into standby mode and secondly about how long this condition might last. Historically we only have full documentation on 2 of these events the Maunder minimum about 1650 and the Dalton minimum about 1815. both along with the Sporer and the Oort minimums brought us the extremely cold period that ended in the 1850s that was known as the little ice age when millions died of sickness and starvation in a Europe to cold to feed them. now the sun has returned apparently to the same low output state that caused the little ice age and kept the planet exceedingly cold for almost 400 years.

Some scientific information revealing the truth about global warming, when it happened and what probably caused it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:0Maste…
http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/global…
http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/greenh…
http://reasonmclucus.tripod.com/CO2myth.…
http://mc-computing.com/qs/Global_Warmin…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_varia…
Where the heat came from and why it was abnormally cold previously
http://www.ac.wwu.edu/~dbunny/research/g…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_cycle
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_minim…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maunder_Min…

Instead of trying to conquer.the planet. We must learn to be a part of it.What we take we must replace.and when we pollute we must find another way,and to educate more people, you have to teach more people.

have all the GWers move to the utopia of Antartica and of course leave your evil heaters and evil electricity behind and just commune with nature and leave the rest of us alone

I love the outdoors and the idea of Living simply but please try and educate yourself on both sides of the global warming argument and forget your current biases.

It's as easy as saving the planet from raging carnivorous unicorns.

It's the sun. That’s why we’ve worked hard to be carbon neutral as a company, launched our renewable energy cheaper than coal initiative and have invested in several clean energy companies and projects around the world. But what if we knew the value of innovation in clean energy technologies? How much could new technologies contribute to our economic growth, enhance our energy security or reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions? Robust data can help us understand these important questions, and the role innovation in clean energy could play in addressing our future economic, security and climate challenges.
Through Google.org, our energy team set out to answer some of these questions. Using McKinsey’s Low Carbon Economics Tool (LCET), we assessed the long-term economic impacts for the U.S. assuming breakthroughs were made in several different clean energy technologies, like wind, geothermal and electric vehicles. McKinsey’s LCET is a neutral, analytic set of interlinked models that estimates the potential economic and technology implications of various policy and technology assumptions.
The analysis is based on a model and includes assumptions and conclusions that Google.org developed, so it isn’t a prediction of the future. We’ve decided to make the analysis and associated data available everywhere because we believe it could provide a new perspective on the economic value of public and private investment in energy innovation. Here are just some of the most compelling findings:

Energy innovation pays off big: We compared “business as usual” (BAU) to scenarios with breakthroughs in clean energy technologies. On top of those, we layered a series of possible clean energy policies (more details in the report). We found that by 2030, when compared to BAU, breakthroughs could help the U.S.:

Grow GDP by over $155 billion/year ($244 billion in our Clean Policy scenario)

Create over 1.1 million new full-time jobs/year (1.9 million with Clean Policy)

Reduce household energy costs by over $942/year ($995 with Clean Policy)

Reduce U.S. oil consumption by over 1.1 billion barrels/year

Reduce U.S. total carbon emissions by 13% in 2030 (21% with Clean Policy)

Speed matters and delay is costly: Our model found a mere five year delay (2010-2015) in accelerating technology innovation led to $2.3-3.2 trillion in unrealized GDP, an aggregate 1.2-1.4 million net unrealized jobs and 8-28 more gigatons of potential GHG emissions by 2050.

Policy and innovation can enhance each other: Combining clean energy policies with technological breakthroughs increased the economic, security and pollution benefits for either innovation or policy alone. Take GHG emissions: the model showed that combining policy and innovation led to 59% GHG reductions by 2050 (vs. 2005 levels), while maintaining economic growth.

This analysis assumed that breakthroughs in clean energy happened and that policies were put in place, and then tried to understand the impact. The data here allows us to imagine a world in which the U.S. captures the potential benefits of some clean energy technologies: economic growth, job generation and a reduction in harmful emissions. We haven’t developed the roadmap, and getting there will take the right mix of policies, sustained investment in technological innovation by public and private institutions and mobilization of the private sector’s entrepreneurial energies. We hope this analysis encourages further discussion and debate on these important issues.
Posted by Bill Weihl, Green Energy Czar, and Charles Baron, Google.org, Clean Energy Team

Older Post Home

I need a poem for how to save our planet?

Bonsai Trees

I need a poem for how to save our planet?
via The Tree Blog by admin on 6/15/11
i need a poem for how we can save our planet ? for tommorrow plzz
search it on google
extinguish greed and satisfy need….
then you will be able to feed
those truly worthy of care and deed…
earth earth u rock my socks earth earth u bout 2 die y y (i rox ur sox)
roses are red violets blue if we don't stop polluting we are all going to be doomed
Woe to you oh earth and sea,for the devils sends the beast with wrath…it is a number a human number its number is six hundred and sixty six. I think it is about time we plant some Bonsai Trees! <a href="http://www.cowabonsai.com/">Bonsai Trees</a>
We hope your spring was good---most of the country had too much wind and rain, but
summer is only a few days away. We all have been trimming new growth on many
outdoor bonsai and pre-bonsai. INDOOR bonsai can be shipped now. We ship
OUTDOOR bonsai all year.
Don’t forget Dad...Father’s Day is June 19. Gift certificates make it a little easier:
http://www.american-bonsai.com/index.php?cPath=45
 * * * * * KEEP BONSAI SIMPLE......AND ENJOY ! * * * * *
TEMPERATURE: Let's think about the summer....your OUTDOOR bonsai need
protection from the extreme heat. Bonsai are affected by temperature, wind, and sun.
Any extremes of these can be harmful to bonsai....and us.
Your INDOOR bonsai will love the outdoors where they can experience fresh air and
warm breezes. If you have a shady place, put them outside when it will REMAIN
above 55º. Outside, they will dry more quickly....so insure they receive sufficient water.
Have you seen our Single, Pre-Bonsai, Outdoor page?
http://www.american-bonsai.com/index.php?cPath=44
These are one-of-a-kind trees and only need some of YOUR personal fine tuning to
create a good bonsai.
Most bonsai enjoy plenty of light, but sometimes have problems with DIRECT
sunlight. The OUTDOOR trees generally like morning sun and afternoon shade.
Some species prefer the morning sun to be filtered (partial shade). To be certain
about the light requirements, read, AND FOLLOW, the instructions that apply to the
individual species.
Our Bonsai Care page will give you greater detail:
http://www.american-bonsai.com/care.php
Our website: We add new bonsai only when they become established...months after
their potting. When you “adopt” my bonsai, you’ll receive the same one in the photo,
one that I personally designed, styled, and potted. It will indicate "NEW,” even though
it may have been in training for a long time.
 Planning your potting needs.....
SPECIALS:
http://www.american-bonsai.com/specials.php
Reminder.....Although, Jan and I are operating at “full steam,” I have some
physical problems that are slowing my daily activities. We’re still searching for a
bonsai enthusiast to retire to Arkansas and take over our home and turnkey
bonsai nursery as a supplemental income. We welcome you to take a virtual tour:
http://209.7.241.131/bc/
clear: both; margin: 0 15px 15px 0;" />

I am writing an essay about recycling when I thought: How do trees help and protect our environment?

I do know things they do that help us but what is the main reason it it so important to save trees?

**I am not looking for an answer like "It is the home of animals." I am looking for an answer that is about trees, for example, save us from the sun's radiation (it is just an example, do not give me crap if that statement is wrong)**

Trees are producers of oxygen which is vital for our survival. They also take in the CO2 which is a GHG that contributes to global warming the most. when put together a whole bunch of trees such as a rainforest or just a general forest trees are the planets carbon sinks and without them the effects of global warming will be devastating.

If you are asking about forests too then you can say that they are home to many habitats and thousands of indeginous tribes whos ancestors have resided there for thousands of generations. they are also useful from a chemist/medicine point of view because there are thousands of types of plants which are yet to be discovered and thousands which have been discovered to have healing properties for diseases such as cancer.

resource wise they are used in thousands of ways such as housing, stationary, paper etc. and they are sustainable if managed in the right way.

good luck with your essay.

They can block wind, protecting houses, built by workers who are fed by farmers that use wood structure to raise livestock and store equipment. the loggers harvest the tons and tons of trees that grow from the ground like magic. using oil and steel that can from the grown. Oh look I am just atoms gooing together, you are, the tree is. Touch the tree and the oil from your skin, how long does it linger?

plants' "lungs" work the opposite of ours. we breath in oxygen, and they breath it out. and what we breath out, they take in.(CO2) so they are the very substance that allow us to live by providing oxygen for the human race.

Hi there,

i hope u will find this cool. to be honest, i did find this answer in anouther websit and gave it to u . i hope this could help u..

best regards
renad

trees are good because they create oxygen and because when they decompose they fertilize the earth they create shade which helps animals stay cool and certain plains grow. they also can help keep land in steep areas from falling. many animals and insects also eat trees or eat what lives in trees. without trees most of earths creatures and plants would die. most people would think that they would all die cuz there would be no oxygen but most of our oxygen comes from certain plaints in the water.
And hydrogen, which is gotten from water (H2O), does so with the help of the energy from sunlight. It uses carbon dioxide (CO2) from the surrounding environment to produce sugar that serves as energy source for the bonsai tree plant to thrive and grow. Oxygen; a waste product of photosynthesis is then, released into the earth’s atmosphere. Now water is taken in via the roots of the bonsai tree and as this is absorbed, nutrients contained in the soil are carried with this water and distributed to various parts of the tree plant.

mishobonsai

Watering is Essential

Watering your Bonsai is Essential, Create Beauty with the simple Earth Element of Water! This tree plant like almost all other kinds of nurtured plant requires water at the roots to thrive. Without a continuous supply of water, this tree is incapable of continuing with its life process, with the first sign of lack of moisture displayed in the loss of its leaves, then subsequently branches and eventually the whole tree dies. And the correct way to water a bonsai tree plant will depend mostly on the requirements of particular species that you have. Consequently, you need to put this into consideration before attempting to water your bonsai tree.
mishobonsai

That is what I am talking about!

Testing out the new Gears! http://www.cowabonsai.com/home.html

Having a bonsai tree can be a really wonderful thing, as long as you are willing to put the time and effort into caring for this tree, as you are going to have to if you actually want it to last.
